Nanri Tenney is an artist and graphic designer who also studies and practices meditation. She studied Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Meditation at UMass Medical School and attended many yoga retreats in St Etienne de Bolton, Eastern Townships in Quebec Province, Canada and Kripalu, the Center for Yoga and Health, Stockbridge, MA where she is certified in
Art & Yoga. She is the founder of Nanri Studio,
in Maynard, MA.

Body expression: dance, gentle stretches, walking meditation

Nanri Studio is a place to explore the creative processes of art and body movement together as a form of healing meditation. We practice walking meditation and asanas followed by doing art for an insightful and transformational experience. Group classes and private sessions are offered in a light-filled studio.
Classes are two hours long in order to settle into a creative focus. All levels of yoga and meditation experience are welcome. No art experience necessary, only a desire to explore your own deeper creativity and insight. Materials included.

This special evening includes a one-half hour meditation, light dinner, and viewings of the movie, Dreaming Ourselves Awake, which is the first part of and an eight-part docu-series, Time of the Sixth Sun, A Journey of Awakening.

This film is about the Awakening Human and about being in Unity rather than Separation. Over 80 wisdom keepers share their sacred transmissions on how we can transition into a more heart-based culture.
This is an amazing film and docu-series directed and produced in 16 countries over 11 years by Nikki Luna Williams and Theo van Dort of Great Britain.

Silent Meditation Sitting
1 hour + 15 minutes
$20 / per person
Silent meditation is a powerful way to bring tranquility and ease into your week. In a peaceful setting, we will simply sit. Leave your cares and shoes
at the door!
• 15 minute introduction to meditation session
• 30 minutes of guided meditation in the studio or by the fire
• 30 minutes of tea and conversation
Creative Meditation Retreats

Time spent in an unhurried state is a rare. Silent meditation retreats are a gift for integration of the body, mind and spirit. By slowing down participants are bathed in a delicious peaceful process that is both healing and nourishing.
There will be options for journaling and drawing and painting in the studio. Nature walks and walking meditation sessions by the Assabet River are included.
The retreat spaces are comfortable, eclectic and instill creativity in those who participate. We will be in a beautiful meditation & art studio with clerestory windows, adjacent to sitting rooms, a wood stove, and dining areas. Consciously prepared snacks and tea will be served.
